The tour began at the Information Center—the place where every official document starts its journey.
In the "Humanitarian Activities" Directorate, the students were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor, Ms. Veselina Tihomirova. Here, their growing confidence was already on display, as the conversation kicked off with questions from the students themselves. The topic of sports and fitness playgrounds quickly took center stage, demonstrating their engagement with important community causes.
In the "Construction" Sector, Architect Stanislava Todorova presented key aspects of the municipality's infrastructure activities. One of the students shared their dream of becoming an architect, which sparked a wave of questions about roads, bridges, and projects.
In the "Finance" Department, the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Tundzhay Shyukryu, explained how the municipality's revenues and expenditures are managed—providing an important lesson in responsibility and efficiency.
The finale of the day was a meeting with the Mayor of Kardzhali Municipality—Mr. Erol Myumyun.
Using an unconventional and interactive approach, the Mayor challenged each student to step into his shoes and define their top three priorities if they were Mayor themselves. Through this, the students realized not only the weight of responsibility but also the power of leadership and vision. Mr. Myumyun shared real-life examples from his work and inspired the young participants to be active and engaged citizens.
All students received certificates of participation, and as a token of appreciation, they presented a letter of thanks to the Mayor for his active support of youth initiatives in the municipality.
???? We thank the leadership of Kardzhali Municipality, Mr. Erol Myumyun, and the administration team for their hospitality and the inspiring meeting! ???? We also thank the students and staff of "Otets Paisiy" Secondary School for their enthusiasm, ideas, and active participation!
