The topic was more than relevant – the generations and the communication between them. From the baby boomers, through X, Y, and Z, to the "alphas." We explored:
The characteristics and profiles of each generation;
Flashpoints and ways to overcome them;
Models for effective interaction within the family;
Tools for positive communication.
We discussed the power of "I-statements" versus reactive "you-statements," why the authoritarian approach is ineffective, how the liberal model falls short, and how cooperation is the best path forward.
We also talked about how prohibitions often trigger a desire for the forbidden thing itself, while freedom breeds responsibility and character – but only if it is conscious and guided. Within the family, there is no "possession"; there are individuals who meet and connect.
Parents left not only with certificates but also with new knowledge and skills to build trust, respect, and a better connection with the youth.
The activity is part of the implementation of Contract № BG-RRP-1.008-0001-C01 "Establishment of a Youth Center in the City of Kardzhali" under the procedure BG-RRP-1.008 "A1 YOUTH CENTERS (IN REGIONAL CITIES)", funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
We thank all participants for their engagement and interest!
