Nevertheless, together we managed to turn the day into yet another special experience for the youth from Bulgaria and Portugal.

Following the change in the schedule, we organized a visit to the natural phenomenon "The Stone Mushrooms," where the participants had the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Rhodope Mountains, discuss Bulgarian culture, traditions, and folklore, as well as get acquainted with Bulgarian folk dances and rhythms.

Later at the hotel, we held an open discussion dedicated to youth policy in Bulgaria, the role of youth centers, and the development of youth activities in Kardzhali.

At the end of the day, the Director of the Youth Center – Kardzhali presented a special symbolic gift to the Centro de Juventude de Lisboa — a colorful bird painted by young people from Kardzhali. The gift symbolizes freedom, wisdom, friendship, and the courage to discover new horizons.

Because a true exchange is not just a schedule. It is the ability to find a way together, even when plans change.

The initiative is part of the activities under the project "Establishment of a Youth Center in the City of Kardzhali" under procedure BG-RRP-1.008, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
